* Planning Board Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 7:30pm at Town Hall. Office
will be open on those days from 1:30pm - 7:30pm.
The 2nd, 4th and possibly the 5th Wednesdays of the month, the office
will be open from 9:30am to 4:00pm.
The Planning Board acts within the limits of the Planning and Zoning regulations
as stated in the Code of the Town of Sand Lake and the laws of the State of New York.
The duties are
to review Subdivisions, Site Plan Review Applications for Commercial Use and Telecommunication Facilities, Special Use Permit
Applications for Residential, Commercial and Telecommunication Facilities, Boundary (property or lot) Line Adjustments, Scenic
Preservation Zone Applications (Improvements within 100 feet of any lake or stream in Town) and Sign Permit Applications.
The
Planning Board also may make recommendations to the Zoning Board of Appeals for Area and Use Variances.
The
Planning Board also may make recommendations to the Sand Lake Town Board on Rezone Applications.
