SAND LAKE ZONING BOARD OF APPEAL MINUTES


 

Applications for the Zoning Board of Appeals must have the following information included:

1.  Application for Zoning Board of Appeals with the following items filled out:

Date of Application; Name and Address of person or firm making the application; Telephone number and Tax Map I.D. of affected property from your Tax Bill.

2.  If you are appealing the Zoning/Building Officer's decision, you must fill in "NOTICE OF APPEAL" section and check off under NATURE OF APPEAL, "Interpretation of Zoning Officer as follows:"

3.  If a Variance under section "NATURE OF APPEAL" check off Variance and next to it indicate whether it is an Area or Use Variance.

4.  If it is a Special Exception allowed under the Zoning Regulations then check off Special Exception section, which is listed under Article V - Use Regulations such as "A-1, RA-1, R-1, R2,etc...

5.  Under "GROUNDS FOR APPEAL",

SECTION A - Article is "X", Section is "42", Subsection is "A< B or C or all of them depending upon the circumstances.

SECTION B- Would be the Article, Section and Subsection you disagree with under "NOTICE OF APPEAL" from Zoning/Building Officer's decision.

SECTION C - Would be the section in the Zoning Regulations under which other uses would be permitted under a Special Exception only.  If not listed as a Special Exception then it would be a Use Variance would be item 3 above.

6.  Under "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" - Fill out what pertains to your property that applies.

7.  Under "ASSURANCES" - Read information fully and submit a check for $50.00 with the appliaction for a Variance or Special Exception.  If it it an Administrative Decision of the Zoning/Building Officer than the cost would only be for the cost of publication in the newspaper, not $50.00.

8.  Applicant must sign their name and indicate mailing address if different than address at top of page.

9.  Application must be submitted to the Secretary of the Zoning Board of Appeals not later than one week prior to the 1st or 3rd Wednesday of each month to be submitted to the Planning Board for their recommendation.
