LEGAL NOTICE MEETING NOTICE FOR THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE AVERILL PARK - SAND LAKE FIRE DISTRICT #2
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that: (1) the date of the August 2010 meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Averill Park - Sand Lake Fire District # 2 has been changed to Monday, August 9, 2010; and (2) there will be a Special Meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Averill Park - Sand Lake Fire District #2 held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Both meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m., at the Fire District Office, 35 Eastern Union Turnpike, Averill Park, New York. The purpose of the meeting to be held on August 9, 2010 is to conduct the regular monthly business of the Board. The purpose of the meeting to be held on August 18, 2010 is to begin work on the 2011 Fire District Budget. Robert E.

TO BIDDERS The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Averill Park - Sand Lake Fire District #2, County of Rensselaer, New York invites the submission of sealed bid proposals for a photovoltaic system installation, to be installed at the fire station located at 35 Eastern Union Turnpike in the Town of Sand Lake, New York. Sealed bid proposals, clearly marked "Photovoltaic System Installation", will be received until 7:00 pm prevailing time on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at the District Offices located at the Averill Park - Sand Lake Fire Station at 35 Eastern Union Turnpike, Averill Park, NY, or may be submitted by mail, and received no later than 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Averill Park - Sand Lake Fire District # 2, P.O. Box 116, Averill Park, NY 12018. Bids will be opened, and the total price read aloud at 8:00 pm, September 14, 2010, during the regularly scheduled Board of Fire Commissioners meeting. No bid may be withdrawn within 65 days after the date of the bid opening. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the official time of the opening of bids, or any publicized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the official time of the opening of the bids will be returned to the Bidder unopened. The Averill Park - Sand Lake Fire District # 2 is not subject to Local, State or Federal Taxes. The work to be performed is outlined in specification documents that can be requested, free of charge, by contacting Commissioner Ronald E. Berti at (518) 674-8363, or by e-mail at rberti@nycap.rr.com. The specification documents also detail the expectations of the Board of Fire Commissioners, with respect to this project. There will be a mandatory bid tour on August 19th, 2010, at 10 am, to be held at the fire station located at 35 Eastern Union Turnpike, Town of Sand Lake, New York. All bidders on the project are required to have at least one (1) representative at the tour. If awarded, the successful contractor will be announced by no later than October 12, 2010.
