Assessment Rolls and Tax Maps

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL AND HEARING OF COMPLAINTS (PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 506 AND 526 OF THE REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assessor for the Town of Sand Lake, Rensselaer County, New York, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and a copy thereof has been filed with Barbara Hansen, Town Clerk, where it may be seen and examined by any person interested therein until the fourth Tuesday in May.

The assessor will be in attendance with the roll at the Town of Sand Lake Town Hall located at 8428 NY Route 66, Sand Lake on:

                Tuesday May 6^th 10:00am – 2:00pm

                Saturday May 10^rd by appointment

                Thursday May 15^th 11:00am – 3:00pm                                                                                              

                Tuesday May 20^th 4:00pm – 8:00pm

 The Board of Assessment Review will meet from 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, May 29^th, in said Town of Sand Lake to hear complaints in relation to assessments of real property.

 A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the assessor’s office.

EXAMINATION OF ASSESSMENT INVENTORY AND VALUATION DATA

In accordance with Section 501 of the New York State Real Property Tax Law, notice is hereby given that the assessor for the Town of Sand Lake has available for review assessment inventory and valuation data.  An appointment to review this information can be made by calling Bobbi Stone, Assessor for the Town of Sand Lake at (518) 674-2026 between the hours of 9:00-4:00.

The Online Property Database contains information about every tax parcel within the Town of Sand Lake.  This can be used to find comparable properties and information about assessments.
