Town Convenience Facility
TOWN CONVENIENCE FACILITY – 213 Chamberlin Hill Road
Use of the Convenience Facility Transfer Station is by calendar year (annual) permit only. Permits must be purchased from the Town Clerk. Proof of residency is required.
To use the Convenience Facility:
- All vehicles must have a current annual permit, please provide your license plate number
- Permit fee $35 (per calendar year) - Senior 60+ years $25, Non - Residents $50 (per calendar year)
- 2nd Sticker (same household) $15
- HOUSEHOLD TRASH: We are no longer selling bags with the Town of Sand Lake stamp. Residents need to purchase their own bags and pay at the Facility (check only) OR pre-pay at Town Hall. Large Garbage Bags (up to 40 gallon) are $4.00 each - Small bags (up to 15 gallon) are $3.00 each. Payment can be made by Check Only at the Facility or you can pre-pay by purchasing Punch Cards at Town Hall where we accept cash, check or credit card.
- At present, No brush, trees or leaves are collected at the Convenience Facility. These may be brought to the Highway Public Works Department at 25 Springer Road during their regular business hours Mon – Fri 7am – 3pm. Highway Department phone number: 518-674-2026 Ext. 101 or 102 for any questions. Plans are underway to move the Brush pile to the Convenience Facility, date TBD.
- Paint Cans both latex and water based, are now accepted through the NYS paint care recycling program at our Convenience Facility - you do not need a permit to participate.
