Peddler's Permit

Unless associated with a not-for-profit group, anyone soliciting door-to-door or selling goods on a transient basis from a stationary site needs to apply at the Town Clerk's Office for a permit.

The permit is good until the end of the fiscal year from the date of purchase. The fee for the permit is $50.00. Required documents to apply for a permit are:  Valid photo driver's license, vehicle registration, Rensselaer County Health Department approval if food related and an up to date background check on all vendors.
