Climate Smart Committee

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-7pm at Sand Lake Town Hall. All meetings are open to the public. 

This action aligned Sand Lake with a New York State initiative led by the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) aimed at lowering greenhouse gas emissions and improving climate resilience. To support this effort the Town created a Task Force of residents which is currently looking for members. Our role is to identify and implement actions that will help the entire community reduce its carbon footprint.
